EVER OURS is an unofficial, for-charity fanzine centered around exploring all aspects of the love story and marriage of Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough from Final Fantasy VII, including the proposal, wedding ceremony, honeymoon, and everything in between.
The concept is inspired by the June Bride event from Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade where Cloud and Aerith appear in wedding outfits, with Groom Cloud only being unlocked with the help of Bride Aerith.

Q. What is a fanzine?
A fanzine (fan magazine) is a non-official publication produced by fans of a particular person, group, or in our case, a ship for the enjoyment of those who share the same interest. It can either have only artworks, or be a blend of art and written works made by the contributors. EVER OURS fanzine will be the latter.Q. What is the theme?
The theme of the EVER OURS fanzine is centered around exploring all aspects of Cloud Strife and Aerith Gainsborough’s love story and their journey to forever, including the proposal, wedding ceremony, honeymoon, and everything in between.The concept is inspired by the June Bride event from Final Fantasy Airborne Brigade where Cloud and Aerith appear in wedding outfits, with Groom Cloud only being unlocked with the help of Bride Aerith.Q. Will NSFW be allowed?
The project is SFW. No NSFW content will be allowed. For the depiction of Cloud and Aerith’s honeymoon, suggestive themes may be allowed on a case-by-case basis.Q. Is this fanzine for-profit or for-charity?
The project is non-profit and for-charity with the post-production proceeds going to Direct Relief, a nonprofit, humanitarian organization that aims to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies through humanitarian and disaster relief programs in all 50 states and more than 80 countries.Q. What is the size of this zine?
The zine will be 6 x 9 inches.Q. Are other characters or ships allowed in the zine?
As the project is focused on Cloud and Aerith, other ships will not be allowed in the zine. Other characters and depictions of platonic relationships with said characters may be included as long as the focus will be on Cloud and Aerith, and their wedding.Q. What will Moderators and Contributors receive as compensation?
The project will strive to compensate all Moderators and Contributors with a full, physical bundle including all stretch goals unlocked. However, this will largely depend on the zine’s sales during Preorders. Should the project be unable to compensate Moderators and Contributors with a free physical bundle, then it will be offered at manufacturer price.Q. Will Contributors be allowed to post/sell their pieces after the zine is completed?
Yes! The Contributors will retain all the rights to their respective creative works to do as they wish once the project is done. Contributors may post or sell their works after, and only after, the zine project is announced as completed. Doing otherwise while the zine is still ongoing will result in your piece being removed from the project altogether.Q. How many artists and writers are you looking for?
The zine is aiming to have between 25 Page Artists, 10 Merch Artists, 5 Spot Illustrators, and 10 writers overall.Q. Do you have a schedule?

Yes! The zine will offer both digital and physical merchandise. Please look forward to the merch reveal before preorders go live.Q. How will the zine be distributed?
The digital orders will be distributed through email, while the physical orders will be shipped through couriers. Distribution of both the digital and the physical orders will be done simultaneously.Q. How much will the zine cost?
The zine will offer varied bundles with their corresponding prices. More details will be announced once Preorders go live.Q. Will there be verification of the donation?
Yes! The donation and its verification will be announced once all production and shipping expenses are paid for from the zine sales and leftover store is done.Q. Will there be a giveaway?
Yes! The exact details and mechanics for the giveaway will be announced once Preorders go live.Q. Will I be able to buy a copy of the zine even after the preorders finish?
Yes, but only a limited quantity may be available. You will get another chance to purchase a copy once we open our Leftover Store after all orders have been shipped out and our inventory has been accounted for.Q. When will the orders ship out?
The zine expects to start sending and shipping out the digital and physical orders by August 2024 barring unforeseen delays and circumstances.Q. Who is handling this project?

A wedding for Cloud and Aerith has always been on my mind because of Cait Sith’s prediction and FF Airborne Brigade’s June Bride event, so the possibility of one is something I’ve been dreaming of since FF7R was announced. Hi!!! Mint here! When Cloud fell through the roof to wake up on Aerith’s flowerbed in FF7 OG, that was it for me, I was in love with them. Their dynamic is what captivates me the most along with their tragic love story. I’d written stories and drawn art of them many years ago, and thought I’d never do it again until the minute I finished playing Remake and the hunger for more Clerith came back. For their honeymoon I always imagined them in a motorbike trip around the world. First stop undoubtedly Icicle Inn. Cloud will finally travel without worries, simply loving the landscape and maybe finding new parts for his precious motorbike, while Aerith will discover new types of flowers for the shop that she and Cloud dream of opening together.
